Residences For Students

It is a well-known fact that international students frequently choose the UK as their top location for higher education. While a significant portion of these students are enamoured with fast-paced metropolises like London, Birmingham, and Edinburgh, lesser-known destinations are frequently overlooked, often through no fault of their own. Cardiff is one such city that doesn't receive its fair share of attention. The capital of Wales is among the happiest locations you'll ever visit. The reputation of this city as hospitable, inclusive, and compassionate has grown. Cardiff has more parks and gardens per inhabitant than any other major core UK city, with over 330 of them.

Student accommodation Cardiff

When choosing a place to live as a student with limited time and knowledge of the area, location is a crucial issue to take into account. Cardiff, fortunately, is a flourishing city and capital and won't let you down no matter where you go.

To help you choose the best student -friendly area, we have put together a brief guide.

Cathays: One of Cardiff's most well-liked student housing options is Cathays. Students from the University of South Wales and Cathays Park Campus are particularly close by, while Heath Park Campus students can also be accommodated in the north area. Students typically reside in the terraced homes along Crwys Road, which is close to the Student Union and the Saint Davids Centre, where you can find everything you need for school. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the Student Union from these homes.

Roath: Despite being farther distant than most, this neighbourhood is not unpopular surrounding the recreation area and the lake, which are located in the lovely Roath Park. Nearly all sports facilities are located in this location, which is perfect for Cardiff Metropolitan students working on the Cyncoed campus but farther from all other campuses. There is less activity here than in other regions however, the Student Accommodation Cardiff are much larger. Ideal for a more tranquil setting and a retreat from metropolitan life.

Tredegarville and Plasnewydd: Even though it is only a short distance east of Cathays, this neighbourhood is a very popular place for students to live. The well-known row of terraced homes along Albany Road is a popular location, and a Sainsbury's is close by. Along Albany Road and City Road, there are also many well-known fine dining establishments. The trip is undoubtedly worthwhile if you want to be in the centre of student life; it is not far from the Cathays campus and the University of South Wales Cardiff campus, but it is not particularly near to the Cardiff Metropolitan campuses.

Heath: Due to the proximity of the lecture halls and the hospital, this neighbourhood is ideal for students attending classes on the Heath campus. In contrast to the terraced buildings in Cathays's centre, the houses here frequently house three to five students, but they are larger and more domestic. Although it is a little longer than convenient, this region is bustling with students and is definitely worth the distance for Cardiff Metropolitan students as it is the closest to Llandaff than all the other regions.
